Pat has been an RD for over 34 years and received her BS degree in Dietetics from SUNY Oneonta. She completed her internship at Cleveland Metro General/Highland View Hospital in Cleveland, OH. She worked for 20 years in health care including her role as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center and Heritage Health Care, both in Utica, NY. She also served as Area Support Manager for Sodexo. For the past 14 years she has been with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield as a Wellbeing Consultant. She's been involved with MRDA from the beginning of her career and has been President more than once and a constant Public Relations Chair. She received Media Excellence Award for NYSAND in 2020. Pat's a food and fitness enthusiast and also enjoys taking improv classes.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor degrees in Food Science & Human Nutrition from the Univeristy of Hawaii at Manoa. He then completed his MBA and dietetics internship coordinated program at Dominican University in Chicago, Illinois. Before and during his internship, he was awarded "Diet-Technician Registered of the Year" from 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. Jonathan is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as the Online Professional Development Coordinator for Cultures of Gender and Age. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, pole dancing, cooking, and photography.
Hannah Smith is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist; she is the Eastern Region Clinical Nutrition Manager for Rochester Regional Health. In this role, Hannah oversees the Registered Dietitians working in the two acute hospitals, two nursing homes, adult day program, inpatient rehab, out-patient counseling, and cardiac rehab at two locations, in Clifton Spring and Newark, NY. Hannah enjoys collaborating with community partners in her current role to promote wellness to employees and the public. Hannah earned her bachelor's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and completed her Dietetic Internship at Syracuse University. Hannah is an active member of both the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Genesee Dietetic Association. In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, architecture, home design, playing softball, running, being a New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. Hannah lives in Newark, NY with her husband Josh and their daughter Liliana.
Michelle completed her undergraduate education at Rochester Institute of Technology and received her Master's in Nutrition from Syracuse University. She is an active member of both the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Central NY Dietetic Association. New York City - 2nd Representative Theresa Gentile, MS, RDN manages the home enteral nutrition program at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, an dis the owner of Theresa Gentile Nutrition, a practice focusing on women's weight loss and family nutrition. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Theresa loves meeting people with different food cultures and offering personalized nutrition and wellness. Theresa completed her undergraduate degree at CUNY Brooklyn College and completed her dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Theresa is an active member of the Greater New York Dietetic Association, where she has been the Cultural Foods Committee co-chair for 8 years and is starting her first year as the Private Practice Committee co-chair. In her spare time, she enjoys biking as a family and cooking with her kids.
Joelle has vast experience working in a community with a diverse population in culture, ethnicity, and religion. She has experience with many age groups, health disparities, and diseases. Joelle is a person who finds joy creating a positive environment to facilitate healing and promoting positive change. She has a passion for connecting with the community and providing education to promote wellness that any person can get on board with. Joelle is an active member of the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Media Representative. In her free time, she enjoys exploring, dancing, binge-watching great shows, and spending time with her husband and puppy, Kiedis.
Jenna Guadagna is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist. Jenna completed her undergraduate degree and her dietetic internship at Buffalo State College. Jenna is a dietitian at the private practice Personalized Health Nutrition, PLLC. There she provides nutrition counseling to individuals and guides them to achieve their nutrition goals. Jenna is a former retail registered dietitian who is experienced with planning and attending health fairs, hosting nutrition-related tours in the grocery store, radio interview, and social media nutrition outreach. Jenna understands that not everyone has the ability to see a nutrition professional, nor does everyone know what a dietitian does. As a dietitian, she wants to help fill those gaps in the community, and share evidence-based nutrition information where it is needed. Because of this, she is excited about her role as a Media Spokesperson to be able to share both nutrition science, and the nutrition happenings to the communities in Western New York. In her free time, Jenna enjoys going to spin classes, spending time with her cat, and listening/singing along to showtunes. |
