NYSDA PAC is the New York State Dietetic Association’s Political Action Committee. Within NYS, we are the only political action committee broadly focused on food, nutrition and health. Our goal is to support pro-nutrition candidates for state office.
If dietetics is your profession, politics is your business!
The NYSDA PAC is a way to support candidates who have demonstrated an understanding and interest in the views and goals of our Association.
This type of PAC is made up of individuals or groups of U.S. citizens, such as our members, who raise money to support our goal of improving the health of all New Yorkers. The NYSDA PAC supports candidates who understand the importance of quality food & nutrition and health care policies.
The NYSDA PAC is authorized to solicit contributions from the members of NYSDA and any U.S. citizen. All contributions shall be voluntary. All monies raised are maintained as a separate fund; the PAC funds are not a part of the NYSDA treasury.
NYSDA PAC and all NYSDA members must be involved and support candidates who best support NYSDA’s priorities: food, nutrition and health and our goal of obtaining licensure for the Registered Dietitian. This list is not all inclusive and as our issues change over time, so will the issues promoted by NYSDA PAC. Having a PAC is essential to having the voices of our members heard and keeping our issues in front of our policy makers.
NYSDA PAC is nonpartisan; we support candidates regardless of political party, who are committed to the health and nutrition of New York’s citizens. Making a contribution of any amount is the easiest way to become involved. Please note: donations to NYSDA PAC are not tax deductible.
Please consider a donation to the NYSDA PAC. Become a proactive member of our organization and care to make a difference in the lives of our fellow New Yorker’s in the area of food and nutrition.
