The New York State Dietetic Association is looking for 3 State Media Representatives!

NYSDA needs State Media Representatives in Albany, one for Buffalo and one for NYC. Media Representatives are responsible for representing NYSDA to the media/public and is a volunteer position.

In order to be eligible you must fill the following requirements:

1.	At least 3-5 years experience as an RD
2.	Member of ADA
3.	Strong written and verbal skills
4.	Ability to volunteer five to 10 hours per month for media interviews and story placmement
5.	Sufficient flexibility in work schedule to accomomodate preparation time and short-notice interview requests; must be able to handle press deadlines
6.	2-3 year committment
7.	A broad basis of knowlege on varying nutritional topics
8.	Confidence and experience in working with the media
9.	Ability to translate research into layman's terms
10.	Project professional image
11.	Current participation in state dietetic association activites
12.	Avoids conflicts of interest. Candidates may not be paid or volunteer spokespeple for any company, individual, product or service.vice.
