Award Opportunity for Members Involved in Quality Improvement

The American Dietetic Association’s Quality Management Committee would like to encourage all members to consider his or her healthcare team’s candidacy for the following award: Ernest Amory Codman Award

This prestigious award from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations recognizes excellence in the use of outcomes measurement to achieve improvements in the quality and safety of health care.

The deadline for applications is: February 17.

Diversity Award

Each year the Diversity Committee presents a Diversity Action Award in the amount of $1,000.00.

Look for the award application and details today. ADA members who are interested in learning more about the awards can find information and applications on the member-only section of ADA's website at or by initiating a search using the words 'Diversity Action Award.' For further information, please contact Genny Trinko at gtrinko@eatright.org. The deadline for applications is March 1.

Districts Note:
If your district would like to sponsor candidates for ADA Awards who are not being sponsored by NYSDA, you can request NYSDA endorsement. To do so, you must submit the awards packet to me by January 2. Packets are due to ADA by March 1, but I need time to review them and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors who must vote on NYSDA support for nominations.
