Talk to MRDA

Let MRDA Know Your Thoughts

This is an exciting new way to communicate with your Dietetics Association. You can either E-Mail or call the Web Page contact person, Marie Loparco. How can MRDA serve you better? Let us know. What are your thoughts on the following topics:

Scholarships

MRDA Annual Scholarship

Criteria for Award

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Mohawk Regional Dietetic Association's region. This area includes the New York State counties of Chenango, Delaware, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, and Otsego.

2. The applicant must be a high school senior entering college or matriculated with at least six hours in a college program. The Dietetics / Nutrition Care AAS or BS degree program must be accredited by the American Dietetic Association (ADA). The letter of acceptance into the college program or proof of enrollment must be submitted to receive the monetary award.

3. The scholarship will be awarded based on academics, honors, work experience, and interest in dietetics.

4. The application packet consists of a two-page questionnaire and two evaluation forms. If the letter of acceptance is pending, it may be submitted at a later date. The completed application packet is due by May 15. Mail applications to:

5. The award winner will be notified by May 31. Presentation of the scholarship will be during the MRDA June Dinner Meeting.
