Welcome to NYSDA

The New York State Dietetic Association (NYSDA), with over 5,000 members, is one of the largest groups of nutrition professionals in New York State. NYSDA’s members consists of Registered Dietitians (RDs), Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) and nutrition students. Our mission is to lead the future of the dietetics profession and its members while serving the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition and well-being.

RDs and DTRs are vital in the treatment of obesity, eating disorders, cardiovascular and renal disease, diabetes, HIV/Aids and much more. We can be found in many work settings, including, but not limited to: hospitals, corporate wellness, school systems, private practice, nursing homes, food service and education. It is our extensive science-based education and work experience that make us the “nutrition experts”.
