Welcome!

The New York State Dietetic Association (NYSDA) is the state's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. NYSDA is committed to optimizing the state's health by utilizing our members, the state's leaders in food and nutrition services.

Over 5,500 members strong, Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR) are employed in various settings throughout the state such as hospitals and long term care, schools, community agencies, business and industry, private practice and research to name just a few.  RD's and DTR's use evidence-based practice to keep New York State eating healthy, growing healthy and living healthy!

NYSDA is governed by a nine member Board of Directors and assisted in their efforts by their Coordinating Cabinet.  As a team, they work to put in place NYSDA's Strategic Plan to make our mission and vision a reality! Ten districts within our state allow members to participate at the local level in community projects, professional development programs, advocacy issues and other services.
